I spent the extended weekend back at Grand lake, swinging between dipping in the water and cooling off in a hammock under the shade tree.

There’s no time like Hammock Time

I did spend a little time up at the nature center.

That vulture was clingy

The other animals were hospitable enough, even if the vulture wouldn’t leave me alone. He was in my hare the whole time.

Bison rides make hiking a breeze

Ms. Amanda even made sure I got a passport for the Oklahoma State Parks. I tried explaining I already have a passport but she told me it’s special for Oklahoma. After you visit 6 parks where you can stamp your passport, you submit to TravelOK to get a pin mailed to you. It’s a very cool way to see the state.

I don’t think it works in Canada though

I hear there’s one for Route 66. What we really need is a culinary pawsport for penguins. Time to write my local senator.
